The Thomas Park Monument stands in Thomas Park in Dorchester Heights as a commemoration to the occupation of Dorchester Heights by the Continental Army in 1776. The occupation and placement of cannons on this strategic point forced the evacuation of the British. This monument was built in 1902 and is white marble. It stands 115 feet and is meant to depict a church steeple.
