A 1776 post card map of Boston which shows Dorchester Heights in relation to the rest of Boston. The commanding view atop three hills that the Continental Army had across the harbor pressured the British to evacuate. Cannons from Fort Ticonderoga were mounted on the Heights and pointed at the Royal Army.
