This is the front entrance and ticket stand to the aquarium. Seen here is the new west wing addition, and behind it is the original aquarium completed in 1969.
The Aquarium is the only true structure on Central Wharf. Here you can see the whole museum, and the distinction between the original structure in the back and the new addition in the front.
A public plaza along the Boston Harborwalk on neighboring Long Wharf. The plaza has benches with views of the harbor, and East Boston and Logan Airport.
Chairs line the harborwalk behind the aquarium. Pedestrians can use the walkway and the chairs without having to pay admission to the museum. Once again, the chairs provide views of the harbor and Logan Airport.
The aquarium gave rise to a new neighborhood with its own unique culture. Seen here, seafood restaurants, outdoor seating, and hotels now line the wharf in true harbor side style.

The city has added little public art structures all along the riverwalk. Here dolphins are jumping amongst a backdrop of the harbor. Other art sculptures included old ship parts.
