A City of "Open Museums"

Public spaces, much like this one, play a crucial role in any city, but their place in Moscow is of particular interest and relevance. Today, toured and explored five such parks and public spaces.

As we’ve learned, parks and public spaces play an enormous role in Moscow’s post-socialist urban fabric: they are key contributors to culture and daily city life, and perhaps even more interestingly, also serve as historical “museums” in which one can step to interact with the past.
