This “Home Town” exhibit features an unknown figure that Wen-ti Tsen affectionately refers to only as “the Laundryman.” To Tsen, the Laundryman is a representation of the Chinese immigrant work ethic.
The paper concludes with noting that despite the mixed reception of the plan, it is now seen as "providing a framework into which an unmistakable ‘Berlin of Stone’ was set upon the sands of Brandenburg" (Bernet 419)
