Crimean Bridge in Moscow during the day

In his 1935 master plan to reconstruct Moscow into a modern city, Joseph Stalin commissioned many new projects. A major part of his vision was installing new bridges, as we can see in the following YouTube video near the beginning. The Garden Ring is a major segment of these bridges.

The Krymsky Bridge, sometimes referred to as the Crimean Bridge, brings the Garden Ring across the Moscow River in the form of a steal suspension bridge, built originally in 1938. The bridge carries both cars and people over it, allowing for pedestrian travel on the periperhy of the bridge. (1) On the north end of the bridge, there lies Gorky Park, one of the most beautiful Moscow parks which you can also read about in Akshay's Omeka post.
